The Crossroads Center is a Baltimore County Public Schools’
alternative program center that provides educational and social/emotional
services to students in grades seven to ten who can benefit
from additional support both academically and behaviorally. Our program focuses
academically on reading and mathematics in the four core subject areas,
reading/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Behaviorally,
the focus is on improving deportment through positive interventions and
supports. This one-year, full-day, program was designed to assist students in
increasing their proficiency in reading and mathematics so they will
successfully complete the requirements needed to earn a high school diploma.
Mission statement: At Crossroads Center, faculty and staff strive to create a compassionate, structured, culturally responsive climate that seeks to foster students’ individual strengths and develop academic and social-emotional growth through high expectations and a daily commitment to repairing and restoring relationships.
